Mendes Ranch

Mendez Ranch is a family owned operated business. The original Mendes traveled to Maui from the Azores Isalnd, Portugal in 1886. The land where the ranch is now located was homesteaded in the 1940's by Manuel Mendes, otherwise known as "RED", and his only son Ernest.

Join the Mendes family and experience an unforgettable journey through Maui's most spectacular views on Horseback! The journey begins at the Mendesm Ranch Corral where you will be greeted by real Paniolo's. Canter up rolling pastures into the lush rain forest and gaze down into Eki Crater to view some of Maui's lagest waterfalls. The narrated tour then continues down the mountain where you will see Hawaaian taro patches and plantation homes. The trail continues down through grazing cattle to the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.

Paniolo Horseback Helicopter Combo

Meet at the heliport and Sunshine Helicopters will treat you to a 25-30 minute flight through the West Maui Mountains before stopping for a BBQ lunch at Mendes Ranch. After satisfying you palette it's time to saddle up the horses for a 2.5 hour experience through the ranch.

Paniolo Adventure Morning Ride

This 2.5 hour ride includes a Paniolo style BBQ lunch of Mendes Ranch Ribs, smoked BBQ checken, country-style beans, salad,rolls and refreshments

Aloha Ride

This 2 hour ride departs daily at 8:30 am and then again at 12:30 pm. Comes with refreshments.
