Renovation:
The Grand Wailea Resort and Spa is restorating the well-loved Wailea Canyon Activity Pool 27,500 sq. ft. of water features that include nine separate pools including a baby beach, seven waterslides, the worlds first water elevator, white water rapids, Tarzan rope swing, caves, waterfalls and Jacuzzis. With a total project cost of $1,389,000, the complete restoration will include: Fresh color-schemes that compliment the original colors
of Wailea Canyon pools when Grand Wailea opened in 1991. Re-plastering and re-tiling of all water features in the Wailea Canyon pools re-tiled caves, re-tiled Baby Pool Technology upgrades to the slides and water elevator Installation of a new solar water piping for Grotto Bar New benches and tables for more comfortable seating at Grotto Bar
To facilitate the restoration, Wailea Canyon pools will be unavailable from November 30 to December 18, 2008 as it undergoes the beautification projects mentioned above. During this period, the Hibiscus Pool, restored last year, will be available to all guests for enjoyment. We will be adding additional cabanas, lounge chairs and pool service in the Hibiscus Pool area to ensure the comfort of our guests. In addition, we will be providing complimentary beach umbrellas for our guests who prefer to soak-up the sun on Wailea Beach. It has been rated one of Americas Best Beaches with plenty of things to do from sailing, stand-up paddle-boarding, snorkeling, scuba diving to wind-surfing and other activities are conveniently available.
